Odd even scheme for vehicles didn’t help in Delhi, so a similar scheme will be implemented for stubble burning from next year, says CM Kejriwal. This will be a win-win situation for farmers who burn stubble and for Delhi who inhales this smoke all the time. Because farmers are stubborn, they will never stop burning, so we are trying this revolutionary idea , requesting them to burn stubble only on odd and on even days as per their tractor’s registration number.
Poor farmers, who don't have tractors, odd even will be based on total numbers of livestock they have that particular day. Theoretically it should reduce the stubble burn pollution to its half, but lets see said CM.
